JTA's Christmas office outing this year had a theme of 'Moving Through the City'. From our offices we walked north across Blackheath and through Greenwich Park, we grabbed a steak and cheese burger before motoring east along the Thames to North Greenwich on a Clipper. We were dragged dangling in the air north across the river on the Emirates Air Line, then drove the DLR to Stratford, and as a part of our wanderings through the QE Olympic Park we experienced the ups, downs and round and rounds of Anish Kapoor and Cecil Balmond's compromised art/architectural intervention. Our attempt at trying out the locally brewed craft beer was thwarted by Crate's staff apparently requiring an office party themselves...the cheek of it!...We got over it pretty quick and cycled Boris's bikes west through Victoria Park and without casualty found our way into Cafe Kick to discover Jo's Baby Foot talents - there were no scouts around at the time but if there were I think we'd have lost her to the Baby Foot third division, at least. Then came a mini crawl thorough Old Street, onto Farringdon Road to the old Guardian building where some Swedes assisted us in filling up on schnapps and smorgasbord; fully fuelling us for a session of Chicago Footwork upstairs....(and breath).
Thanks JTA for another truly amazing London Experience.
